Veritism, although it aims to be as close to science as possible, acknowledges that science itself has its limits, because of which some answers would always require faith concepts or probable theories, pundits can believe in with some degree that they are correct. The difference between religion-based faith and acceptance of scientific theory is that science tests rigorously all or parts of the theory which provides evidence for those theories.
We believe science undertaken by humans has to be humble and accept its inherent limits as human perception and knowledge will always be limited. But, what science has done so far is relentlessly focus on systematically testable theories and concepts which can help people live better lives and get closer to the truth. In that sense, science may not have all the definite answers to human inquiry but it has useful, checked and effective solutions which can offer the best available guidance to individuals.
